What is the Schengen Zone? 

It is a region comprising 27 European Countries that have loosened border controls at their borders so you can move freely without needing to go through border checks. 

The countries which belong to this region are the countries in Western Europe such as France, Austria, Netherland etc., Nordic Countries such as Finland, Norway, Sweden etc., Southern Europe countries such as Italy, Portugal, Greece etc., Eastern Europe countries namely Hungary, Latvia, Poland etc.  and Microstates such as Monaco and Vatican City.  

What travel benefits for students? 

If you are student studying in Germany with the resident permit, you are eligible to travel in the entire Schengen Zone up to 90 days within a 180-day period for visa free.

Students can travel to France either by Train, Bus or Flight. Travelling by TGV/ ICE High-Speed Trains are recommended. The journey time would be a maximum of 6 hours with a cost range of €50–€150.  At France, following famous destinations can be reached by spending not more than €2 per person by a Metro or Bus

By the Schengen Visa, students can effortlessly travel to Spain by train or bus within maximum of 30hrs. And the cost per person will be a maximum of €300.

After reaching it, it would be just around 1.5hrs to City of Alps.  Further, for entertainment, students can attend the Vienna Concert within a maximum of 5hrs with a cost of around 90 to hear classical, legendary music.
